Southern Mongolian dissident and writer Lhamjab Borjigin was sentenced to 2 years in prison in 2018 after being under indefinite residential surveillance by the Chinese government in the name of "undermining national unity" and "illegal publishing". He has already fled into exile in Mongolia.
